Dublin City Posters

This is chapter one of my personal project of designing city posters of places I have traveled to. My goal with this project was that I wanted to take the traditional tourist targeting adverts you see, telling you to travel to their city/country/region, I always they felt boring so I wanted to jazz them up, but still show they beauty of the city, through photography and art.
Dublin was the first stop on my little journey through Western Europe. One of my favourite cities to explore with a balance of modern touch mixed with the history displayed in the red bricks. It's a simple city architecturally so I tried to display that with keeping it simple.
These are some of the modern buildings that can be found along the river front in the city centre. So I wanted to have a modern feel to the poster design with sharp lines to match the imagery.
This images have very bright neon colours in them, I wanted to show that but through a greyscale and have the brightest, which was the orange be used to show of my style through the art of the poster.
This one I wanted to take use of the blue sky and corners of the building to make pop-out of the screen at the viewer, creating these layers throughout poster. Plus a new look with a horizontal attempt of a poster.
